Was not able to get the practice files… but did the reading. Enjoyed learning about the different tools you can use to edit images. I enjoy taking photos with my camera so all of this will definitely come in handy for me.

Wow very interesting… I totally I agree that you should use different colors for different sights on the web, I enjoyed learning about the psychology for each color and think one should look into it before choosing the colors for there sight.

All of these sights where very profesional and enjoyable to visit. When every thing flows well the user seems to stay on the sight instead of geting frustrated and xing it out

Navigation…. this little reading was pretty much telling us how to make an easy flow to our sight when someone is visiting it. Pretty much common sence to me dont really have to much to ad. here is the reading its self.
Navigation
Navigation on the web is addressed in many ways; the main thing to remember: consistency must be maintained, in order for users to have a successful visit. The following items should be considered when designing a navigational scheme:
-
- placement: navigation should be consistent;
- design: look/feel of navigation should be consistent;
- readability: navigation should be easy to ready, and obvious;
- direction: navigation directs your user to the most important areas of the site;
- hierarchy: secondary, or less important nav, should be muted, or available in hidden areas (ie, dropdown menus).
Navigation methods:
-
- images: buttons or graphics are used to direct users to particular pages of the site;
- rollovers are often created to indicate the image is linked and adds interactivity to a page;
- text links: text links are organized or customized with stylesheets, to be used in place of images;
- accessibility is important, text links are more accessible than graphic links;
- dynamic (or dropdown menus) are implemented to allow for one-click access to interior sub-page content
Footer links, or links to the main sections in the footer of the page, are essential, for search engine rankings as well as usability … text links, are the only way search engines can easily find your interior pages.

My Favorite mistake not answering users questions. I Eventually want to make a sight of my own selling products or a service and figure I would loose a lot of business if I did not put prices of items and a good … Users would find another sight that did and do business with them. http://www.useit.com/alertbox/9605.html # 10.
